This allowed new management to come in--some of whom are self-serving and ambitious in a bad way. The culture and any hopes of gender diversity in the engineering field is now driven to the ground. The company has far too many managers, and once you have that title you are automatically safe. It is the people who do the actual work that lost their jobs. The factory floor workers are fantastic, and operations management does a great job managing production and morale. I don't mind working hard to help the company, but the layoffs have not been well managed or thought out.
